Training V.I.P. Protection dogs utilises the same core development exercises as any dog that is required to protect it’s handler however they are deployed at a high risk level and are therefore trained to work specifically in a close protection role. The training is very specific and is tailored to the client’s requirement. The dog must work in varying environments without danger to other body guards, animals or of course the primary client. These dogs are trained to work in and around crowds and firearms and to be on alert for any sudden threat. We train dogs for all situations and all levels. The dogs may be required to work in close proximity with other VIP trained dogs. There may also be a requirement for more than one skill discipline to be trained in the dog. For example the dog may be trained in a VIP role as well as a detection role. The double training requirement will be easily accepted by the dog and one skill level will have no detriment to the other.
